The PC545MJ is a 12 volt 545CA/185CCA 14 Ah drycell battery w/ metal jacket and female brass terminals. This Odyssey is a military grade AGM battery with 545 cranking amps and 185 cold cranking amps. Its pure lead design makes it the perfect battery for both starting and deep cycle applications. The PC545MJ can be completely discharged and recharged back to 100% capacity over 400 times. Using pure lead makes the internal plates resistant to corrosion and sulfation making catastrophic failure less of a concern. Its recommended to use the Odyssey Ultimizer charges for the PC545MJ available from us but not necessary. A simple trickle charger, standard battery charger or alternator will maintain the charge. The Odyssey comes with a metal jacket that makes it more resistant to heat but increases the overall dimensions.
